METLab Plays in Progress 2016

METLab

It’s time for the Maryland Ensemble Theatre METLab New Play Summer Series!

Last year, the series gave my show Lies! a slot in its coffeehouse readings, paving the way for its November 2016 METx run.

This year, I’m delighted to participate as an actor. I will be performing in Natalie Ann Piegari’s The Funeral of Casey B.Collins, July 20th @ 7PM.

Show up to DC Cathro’s Reason For Return on July 22nd & 23rd @ 8PM and you’ll catch me reading stage directions!

Come out and witness new theatre-making in the Frederick community! Piegari and Cathro are bringing their fresh sensibilities to the scene, and I’d hate for you to miss it.

Missed it? Catch it!

You may not have made it to this past Sunday’s The Last Hurrah, where I served on the panel and made a character appearance as a certain Patriotism expert…But that’s okay! You still have a chance to catch up on the madness.

Listen to The Last Hurrah podcast!

Available on iTunes. Episode 82 will be up and streaming in no time. Don’t wait to subscribe! Do it now.

The Last Hurrah is a free comedy and variety show, hosted at the Maryland Ensemble Theatre in Frederick, MD.

Episode 82 was hosted by guest host Christine McQuaid. Thom Huenger accompanied on keyboard and contributed to the Hurrah Panel. A rousing Independence Trivia Game was played with two lucky members of the audience. A redoubtable Patriotism expert arrived to weigh in on patriotic, unpatriotic and dangerously patriotic behavior as well.

Franco (Najee Cardee-Banks) and Arthur (Tad Janes) make a bet in “Superior Donuts”

It’s been an absolute pleasure Assistant Stage Managing for the Maryland Ensemble Theatre mainstage production of “Superior Donuts” by Tracey Letts.

This was the first show I’ve worked on where I could witness the cast work with both a fight choreographer and a dialect coach.

Friday June 17th, Saturday June 18th @ 8PM

Sunday June 19th @ 3PM

MAKE KRIMBY TALES A weird, weird, REALITY

“Ok…What?”

An Interdisciplinary Artistic Extravaganza

Hadfield wrote the story as a stage play. It was read aloud Dec. 2015 on The Last Hurrah variety show & podcast. However, the Krimby Tales were not yet finished shape-shifting. Mr. Kevin Cole, (see ‘Who?‘) intuited the Tales’ true form. “I think it would make a pretty cool holiday shortfilm. Maybe look into having the stories animated in various fashions. I don’t know,”spake the Kev. His excitement was palpable. Emails! Abra Kadabra! Wheedling! Wrangling! Presto! Magic! Krimby! With one talented animator on board, and a professional production company willing to play, the necessary team members soon fell under the Krimby spell. Scrawled snark from once upon a time transfigured into an interdisciplinary artistic extravaganza which we encourage you to support today. Krimby Tales.
